Health and Wellness
Health Insurance*
Smith, Moore & Co. offers a comprehensive health and prescription benefit plan. Our current health insurance plan gives you the freedom to see any physician or other health care professional from our network, including specialists, without a referral. With this plan, you will receive the highest level of benefits when you seek care from a network physician, facility or other health care professional.
Voluntary Group Dental Insurance*
A complete dental plan provides preventative care, including surgical and restorative procedures. Employees can choose from a vast network of Dental Guard Preferred dentists.
Voluntary Group Disability Insurance*
Designed to replace your income if you are unable to work due to a disability. You can protect up to $5,000 per month of income (in addition to Social Security).
Voluntary Group Life Insurance*
Affordable Group Life Insurance rates are available through Smith, Moore & Co. Coverage can be obtained for you, your spouse and your children.
Retirement & Savings
Simple IRA Retirement Plan*
Employees may invest up to 100 percent (up to IRS maximum) of their pre-tax salary in stocks, bonds and mutual funds. The plan is self directed and offers daily valuations. The plan also offers catch up contributions.
Smith, Moore & Co. offers a matching contribution of 3.00% (up to IRS maximum) of the employee's gross wages (assuming employee defers 3.00% of gross wages). The employee is 100% vested in Smith, Moore & Co. contributions.
Education & Reimbursements
Health Care Spending Accounts
Up to $5,000 annually may be set aside from salary to pay for deductibles, co-payments, vision care and other qualified health care expenses that are not covered by insurance. Deductions to the health care spending account are made with pre-tax dollars so they effectively increase income. Smith, Moore & Co. also offers a debit card to make this as convenient as possible.
Dependent Care Spending Account*
Up to $5,000 annually may be set aside from salary to cover eligible daycare for children under age 13 and for eldercare. Deductions to the dependent care spending account are made with pre-tax dollars so they effectively increase income.
Tuition Assistance Program
Employees may receive reimbursement of up to 50% of the tuition cost of job-related undergraduate/graduate course work and professional development course work. New employees are eligible after one year of employment.
Vacation & Paid Time Off
Vacation
After one year of employment, employees initially receive 10 business days of vacation. As years of service increase, additional vacation time is earned - up to a total of 25 days after 30 years.
Personal Days
After one year of employment, employees receive four personal days.
Additional Paid Time Off
9 Holidays, Funeral Leave and Jury Duty
*All full time employees are eligible to participate in the above plans as of the first of the month following the date of hire.
